The Day Rooms

The house is on four floors.  The layout is unconventional and intriguing.  The spacious Drawing Room has an open fireplace that you can toast yourself round on a winter's evening.  The room is full of old timbers including broad Elm boarding for the floor.  It looks out over the quarry garden and the drive through deep set windows that boast wide Elm sill boards.

The Dining Room lies at the heart of the building within the round windmill tower.  It has an oriel window overlooking the garden and a deep set leaded window looking out to the long view West.  Lighting for any mood can be chosen.

The Kitchen and Breakfast Room is as modern as other parts are old.  The Kitchen is equipped with an oil fired AGA and two electric ovens as well as dishwasher and large fridge/freezer.  There is a double sink and drainer as well as an additional vegetable sink with cover over.  All this is beautifully presented with Brazilian blue granite worktops and ample cupboard space.  The breakfast area is as unusual as the original parts of the building with a semi-circle of leaded windows that gives a panorama from the windmill tower to the spectacular Westerly view.  This room is full of light, big enough for the breakfast table and comfortable seating;  it is nothing short of a pleasure to be in.
